Empower children for better generations.
Young hands, steady hearts.
Young Aiding Hearts and Hands (YAHH) is a community-based organization on the Kenyan coast, building safe spaces where children get what's too often out of reach: honest health information, mental health support, and a real shot at sport and the arts.
Explore. Innovate. Compete. Lead. Protect. Provide.
YAHH is a community-based organization creating safe spaces where children's talents are nurtured for the future. We believe sport, creative arts, and life skills build resilient, brilliant generations, with a focus on vulnerable children and marginalized youth who face systemic barriers to opportunity. Through partnerships with schools, community leaders, and development partners, we're building a generation of confident, purpose-driven young people ready to shape a stronger Africa.
Mission
To create safe, empowering platforms for children and youth, especially in marginalized communities, through sports, arts, technology, mentorship, and community partnerships.
Vision
An Africa where every child and young person has access to opportunity, creative expression, technological skills, and the support to thrive.
Four ways we show up for kids.
Comprehensive, non-judgmental sexual education, menstrual health support, and mobile clinics reaching underserved communities, with priority given to survivors of gender-based violence and people living with disabilities.
Child-centered, trauma-informed support for children aged 6-17 affected by neglect, abuse, or family separation, delivered under strict safeguarding policy and aligned with the Kenya Children Act (2022).
Performing arts, music, book clubs, computer and fashion-design skills, and sports, including basketball, football, rugby, and tennis, run by trained, unbiased professionals, aiming to reach 10,000 children and youth weekly.
Science congress, maths contests, and youth-led symposiums alongside life-skills workshops, including communication, negotiation, financial literacy, and leadership, to build confident, capable young people.

Why we need you.
Most girls and boys in these communities have always lacked the facilities and equipment to nurture their talent. Without a platform to pursue what they love, that gap too often turns into school drop-out, substance use, or early exploitation, a means of survival where none should be needed.
Poverty, the pressure of dowry and forced marriage, restrictive cultural norms, and child labor for pay compound the problem. Your funding lets us respond directly, with coaching, safe space, and consistent mentorship.
- ✓Create a right-to-play culture where children can simply be children.
- ✓Sensitize communities and build genuine local participation.
- ✓Build a safe environment where children can exercise that right to play.
- ✓Ensure a monthly supply of menstrual health products for girls who need them.
